Modification of Orders

Modification of Orders attorney
The Family Court has jurisdiction to modify or vacate certain orders. South Carolina has a long standing policy of upholding and enforcing the finality of a Final Order. As such, the Court usually requires a higher burden of proof and/or a material change in circumstances before modifying a Final Order. The Family Court always retains jurisdiction to modify an order that addresses custody, visitation and support of minor children.
